Helen has specialised in employment law since qualifying as a solicitor, and has been an owner and director of Just Employment since 2012.

Helen acts for both businesses and individuals, dealing with a wide range of employment law issues, including discrimination, redundancy and restrictive covenants.

Helen has experience acting for employers in a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, energy, construction, education, and professional services. She enjoys getting to understand the specific requirements of her clients so that she can provide practical, commercial advice, tailored to the needs of each business.

Helen also acts for employees, including advising on all aspects of discrimination and whistleblowing and she advises individuals on employment contracts and settlement agreements. Helen is very aware that when an individual comes to her for advice, they are often having a challenging time.

She is particularly interested in the employment law issues surrounding neurodiversity and has advised employers and individuals in respect of this.

Helen understands the importance of carefully listening to her clients’ concerns and then providing clear advice in a supportive and sensitive way.

Helen is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
