It is common for an employer to pay either all or a contribution towards the employee’s legal fees for advice on a Settlement Agreement. Our fees to advise on a Settlement Agreement vary depending on the complexity of the Agreement and whether you need advice on the financial offer itself or just the wording of the Agreement. Solicitors’ fees for settlement agreement advice usually range from between £500 and £1,000 plus VAT. If substantial negotiations on the payments or terms are required, the cost may be more. If the fee offered by your employer is not sufficient we will inform you and we can often negotiate a higher sum with your employer.
