What is Injury To Feelings?
Awards for injury to feelings are made under the Equality Act and they are there to compensate individuals for the hurt they have felt by being discriminated against. An award for injury to feelings will almost always be made for a successful claimant. An award is not meant to be made to punish the discriminator and the amounts awarded are calculated with reference to the Vento Bands.
